Disciplinary Honors in Human Development and Family Studies
Requirements
- A minimum of 12 credit hours as defined below.
- UNC Greensboro cumulative GPA of 3.30 or better or, for transfer students, cumulative GPA of 3.30 or better from all prior institutions.
- HDF 401 must be completed as Honors course work.

HDF 401 and HDF 490 are typically completed under the supervision of the same faculty member. HDF 401 must be completed in the semester immediately preceding HDF 490. Enrollment in HDF 401 for qualified students will involve completion of directed study and/or research under faculty supervision and will culminate in a written proposal for and enrollment in HDF 490.
Recognition
Receive a Certificate of Disciplinary Honors in Human Development and Family Studies; have that accomplishment, along with the title of the Senior Honors Project, noted on the official transcript; and be recognized at a banquet held at the end of the spring semester.
