UNC Greensboro requires students to participate in student learning outcomes assessments from time to time prior to their graduation. Most of these activities consist of in-class assessments. However, students may also be invited to complete tests measuring other learning outcomes such as information literacy or critical thinking. These tests may occur outside of the classroom and at different times in a student’s career. Scores on these tests are not used to evaluate students on an individual basis, but are used to evaluate learning across the university’s programs. Participation is expected.
