Spanish for Health Care, Pre-Baccalaureate Certificate

Admission Requirements

Successful completion of SPA 102 or equivalent.

Progression Requirements

Students may start their certificate program at the Basic or Intermediate levels of the Spanish Language Program (SPA 203 and/or SPA 204 or SPA 301/SPA 302).

Language Requirement Progression

  • Students starting at the SPA 203 level: 
  • Students starting at the SPA 204 level:
  • Students starting at the 300 level:
    • must complete SPA 301 and any SPA 300- or 400-level course, in consultation with an advisor.

Certificate Program Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 credit hours.
  • A grade of C- or better in all courses required for the certificate.
  • A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required.
