Latin, Pre-Baccalaureate Certificate
Admission Requirements
Students who wish to begin the Latin sequence at anything other than LAT 101 must demonstrate proficiency by taking the Latin Placement Evaluation (through the department), receiving transfer credit for elementary Latin at another university, or scoring at least a 3 on the AP Latin Exam, a 4 on the IB (HL) exam, or a 5 on the IB (SL) exam.
Progression Requirements
Students may start their certificate program at the Introductory or Intermediate levels of LAT courses.
Certificate Program Requirements
- Minimum of 12 credit hours.
- A grade of C- or better in LAT courses required for the certificate.
- Minimum GPA of 2.0.
